About Kanaka Durga Temple

Vijayawada's presiding deity sits on Indrakeeladri hill overlooking the Krishna and the Prakasam Barrage. One of the Shakti Peethas of the Telugu land, the temple is busiest during Dasara (Navaratri), when the goddess is dressed in a different form each day and lakhs of devotees climb the hill.
