About Kondapalli Fort
Built by the Reddy kings in the 14th century and held later by the Gajapatis, Qutb Shahis and the British, Kondapalli fort spreads across a hill 16 km from Vijayawada. Below it, artisans carve the GI-tagged Kondapalli toys from soft tella poniki wood and paint them in bright colours.
