About Srisailam
Srisailam's Mallikarjuna Swamy temple is one of the twelve Jyotirlingas and Bhramaramba Devi one of the eighteen Shakti Peethas — the only place where both stand together. It sits deep in the Nallamala forest above the Krishna, beside the Srisailam dam; a ropeway drops to Patalaganga, and the drive in passes tiger-reserve forest.
