About Mahanandi
Fifteen kilometres from Nandyal, the Mahanandeeswara temple is fed by perennial springs so clear that coins on the bottom of the kalyani tank can be counted; pilgrims bathe in the warm water before darshan. It is the chief of the nine Nandi temples (Nava Nandulu) around Nandyal.
