About Bhattiprolu Stupa
The remains of the Bhattiprolu Mahastupa, built in the 3rd century BCE at ancient Pratipalapura, yielded relic caskets inscribed in the 'Bhattiprolu script', an early Brahmi variant. The brick drum survives in a quiet village between Repalle and Tenali.
