Lambasingi లంబసింగి

The 'Kashmir of Andhra' — where winter mornings touch zero

November to January for the cold and fogbest timeDay tripideal₹800–3,000per person / day

About Lambasingi

A tiny hamlet in Chintapalli mandal at about 1,000 m, Lambasingi is the coldest place in Andhra Pradesh: in December and January the temperature drops close to freezing and the valleys fill with fog. Pepper and coffee grow on the slopes, strawberry farms have appeared, and the Kothapalli waterfalls and Thajangi reservoir make an easy loop.

Why visit

  • The only place in the state where frost forms on winter mornings
  • Sunrise over a sea of fog from the viewpoint
  • Quiet — far fewer visitors than Araku
