About Kolleru Lake
One of Asia's largest freshwater lakes, Kolleru spreads between the Krishna and Godavari deltas and is a Ramsar site. The Atapaka bird sanctuary near Kaikaluru has watchtowers and a boardwalk from which spot-billed pelicans, painted storks and dozens of migrant species can be seen from November to March.
