About Bobbili Fort
Bobbili's fort-palace was the seat of the Ranga Rao rajas and the scene of the 1757 Battle of Bobbili, still sung in ballads. A museum inside holds the family's collection; in the town, veena-makers carve the Bobbili Veena — a GI-tagged instrument — from a single block of jackwood.
