An income certificate from the Tahsildar is the document behind most scholarships, fee reimbursement and welfare applications in the state. It is applied for through MeeSeva — online or at any MeeSeva centre / Grama-Ward Sachivalayam — and is issued digitally. Aandhra.com is not a government service; the official portal is ap.meeseva.gov.in.

Documents

  • Aadhaar card of the applicant
  • Ration (rice) card or other address proof
  • A passport-size photo
  • Self-declaration of annual family income (form provided at the centre)
  • For students: bonafide certificate from the institution (sometimes requested)

Steps

  • Go to a MeeSeva centre or Sachivalayam, or log in to the MeeSeva citizen portal
  • Choose 'Income Certificate' under Revenue services and fill the family income details
  • Upload/submit documents and pay the nominal service charge
  • The VRO / Revenue Inspector verifies; the Tahsildar approves
  • Download the digitally signed certificate using your transaction number — it is valid without a physical seal

How long, and what if it is rejected

Typically about seven working days. If rejected, the reason appears on the portal — most often a mismatch between the declared income and revenue records, or a missing document. Reapply with the corrected information; the Sachivalayam staff can check the field report for you.
